Terms of Use
By using Bura you accept these terms. In short: be respectful, share accurate information, and don't infringe anyone's rights.
Who can use Bura?
Bura is for people aged 13 and over. We ask for your birth year at sign-up. Bars, pubs, taverns and cocktail venues are hidden from users under 18.
Your account
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your information and the security of your account.
- One person, one account. Accounts under someone else's name or a false identity are not allowed.
- You can freeze or delete your account at any time (Settings > Account).
Content you share
The photos, comments, prices and venue details you upload remain yours. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, transferable licence to display, copy and process them solely to operate the app. This licence ends when you delete your account, together with your content.
You confirm that the content is yours or that you have the right to share it, and that it does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark or personal rights.
Prohibited conduct — zero tolerance
- Hate speech, insults, harassment, threats, incitement to violence, bullying.
- Sexual content, nudity, obscenity.
- Images of people without their consent; sharing someone else's personal data.
- Misleading information: reviewing a venue you didn't visit, entering invented prices, or making fake contributions for your own business.
- Spam, advertising, automated accounts, and manipulation of scores or rankings.
- Promoting illegal goods or services.
- Reverse engineering the app, scraping data, or probing the security of the system.
Moderation: what we do, what you can do
Reports are reviewed by human moderators. We may remove content, temporarily restrict, suspend or close your account. Three promises form the constitution of this product:
- No shadow moderation. If your content is removed, you are told and you see the reason.
- Every decision can be appealed and is reviewed by fresh eyes.
- Money never affects ranking. No payment can change a venue's score, your match percentage, or the order of results. Any sponsored content is always clearly labelled.
In urgent and severe cases (such as child abuse or threats of violence) we remove content first and notify afterwards.
Venue information
Venue names, addresses and categories come from open data sources and community contributions, and may be inaccurate. Prices are user reports, not official prices, and they age. Please verify before you go. Bura is not responsible for the service provided by venues.
Availability
Bura is provided "as is". We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change the service, add or remove features, or discontinue it; significant changes are announced in the app.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from your use of Bura. These terms do not limit your statutory consumer rights.
Account closure
We may close your account for serious or repeated breaches of these terms. That decision can also be appealed. You may delete your account at any time; it is permanently deleted within 30 days (see Account Deletion).
Changes
If these terms change we will tell you in the app. Continuing to use Bura after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts of Türkiye have jurisdiction.
